Dr. Eugene K. Dight III, DVM
Dr. Dight has been a member, partner and now sole owner of Skagit Animal
Clinic since 1981.He attended the University of Washington from 1973 to 1975
transferring to Washington State University in 1976 where he received
a BS in Veternary Science. In 1979 he graduated Cum Laude from WSU College of
Veterinary Medicine. Before joining the team at SAC he worked for a year
in Cottage Grove, Oregon at the Cottage Grove Animal Hospital.
Dr. Dight has lived in the Skagit Valley since 1981; he and his wife Molly have
four children, Adena, Brianna, Erin and Eugene IV and currently reside in
the Bow area. Along with their children they keep company with Lily (the
runt poodle), Dexter, Spot and Thistle (domestic shorthair kitty cats) and
Flickers (the ferret). When Dr Dight has free time he likes to spend it
fishing, scuba diving, camping or sometimes you can find him in his shop
doing fine wood working.

Dr. Kirsten A. Richard DVM
Dr Richard is 1992 graduate of the University of California in Davis, where
she completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She then attended
Washington State University and completed her DVM in 1996. Dr Richard
worked for Skagit Animal Clinic from 1996 to 1998 and has returned to work
with us again in 2006.
Dr. Richard likes to spend her free time hiking, skiing and horseback
riding. She lives in the area with her 2 dogs, 2 cats and a very fine horse.

Dr Linda Castell DVM
Dr.Castell has practiced at Skagit Animal Clinic since 2002. She is a
graduate of the University of Iowa City (BA in German, 1963); Rutgers
University (MLS, 1965) and received her DVM from Iowa State University in
1981. She lives in Bow with her three cats (Tao, Buttons and Gray) and her
three dogs (Annie, Leon and Bits). Her free activities include hiking, bird
watching and swimming with wild dolphins.
Dr. Castell loves being able to care for pets over their lifetimes, being
able to build a relationship with them and their owners. We are all working
to provide the best care and support for our furry patients.

Sue Carpenter, Office Manager
Sue has been a member of Skagit Animal Clinic for twenty five years (1981).
Her many duties include overseeing the daily operation of the clinic,
managing staff, assisting clients and coordinating the business side of
SAC. She has an AA degree with Business Certificate from Skagit Valley College.
In her free hours Sue likes to fish, garden and do crafts. She and
her husband Steve have lived in Mt. Vernon all of their lives. They share
their home with two Scottish terriers (Libby & Murray), a yellow lab
named Bailey and two cats (Hudy & ), plus son Sam and
a plethora of oriental exchange students.

Brenda Wiss, Bookkeeper
Brenda has been a member of Skagit Animal Clinic since 1993. Brenda is our
"money" specialist who takes care of client accounts, bills and payroll.
She has an AA degree from Shoreline Community College.
She and her husband Jimmy live in Sedro Wooley with their two dogs(Tinker &
Gunner) cats (Elsa & Titus) and goats both large and small. When she isnŐt
taking care of business here at the clinic, Brenda likes to sew (She makes
beautiful doll clothes & dolls), quilt and do other crafts such as rubber
stamping and decorative painting.

Rose Johnson Simonseth, Receptionist, OPN
Rose has been a member of Skagit Animal Clinic for 24 years (1982). She has
an AA degree from Skagit Community College and Veterinary Technician degree
from Northwest College in Seattle. She has a daughter, Marga who is
currently attending school in Seattle. Rose and her husband Tom live in Mt.
Vernon with their two yellow labs (Harvest and Thistle); three cats(Hector,
Willard and Leroy); a Shetland pony, a toy poodle (Monkey); a black bellied
sheep, one goat and five Romanian chickens. When not keeping us all in line
at the clinic Rose enjoys entertaining and doing floral design for her
home, church and weddings.

Dana Melon, Receptionist
Dana has been a member of Skagit Animal Clinic since 2006. She lives in
Concrete with her husband Joel and their three children Seth, Megan and
Taylor. When not welcoming our clients here at SAC Dana likes to horseback
ride and do cross stitch.
You can tell that she is also very interested in animals by the menagerie of
pets she cares for at home. She has Claude, the Bulldog; Grizzer the German
Shepherd; Meah the Rottiweiler X; Brutus the Pit-bull X and Danny the
Dalmatian; Plus three cats, Junior, Cassie, Czar; one horse, Chic; three
rabbits (at last count), 2 turtles, 3 snakes, salamanders, cockatiels,
lovebirds and fish.

Ruth Williams, Receptionist, OPN
Ruth worked for Skagit Animal Clinic from 1996 to 1997 and rejoined the
team in 2005. She graduated from Sedro-Wooley HS and attended Skagit
Community College. She is a Hills Nutritional Counselor. Ruth lives in
Sedro-Wooley with her daughter Taryn Marie, her dog, Tanner and her cat,
Buddy. She likes Bluegrass Festivals and acoustic music of any kind,
spending time with family and friends camping, fishing and hiking.

Thomas Johnson, Assistant
Tom has been a member of Skagit Animal Clinic since December 2005. He lives
in Sedro Woolley with his wife Sheryl and their new little girl Elena.
Thomas received his veterinary assistant certificate from the Pima Medical
Institute of Renton. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing
basketball and art.

Amy Kelly, Assistant
Amy has been a member of the Skagit Animal Clinic since 2006. She lives in
Sedro Wooley with her two cats, (Max & Bruiser) and her American Eskimo,
Burton. She is newly married (July 2006). Amy likes doing anything outside
in nice weather, hiking, camping, boating and softball. She's into sprint
car racing, music, shopping and hanging out with friends. She hopes to
attend Skagit Valley College in the fall to study for a degree in business
and someday open her own kennels, Kamp Kelly for boarding.

Cassie Sybrandy, Assistant
Cassie has been a member or our Skagit Animal Clinic team since 2005.
Cassie lives on a Dairy Farm in Mt Vernon with her family. She is finishing
up her AA degree at Skagit Valley College and hopes to graduate in June
(2006) with both her High School diploma and her Associates Degree. Cassie
likes to read, design blog templates and is obsessed by Sprint cars. She
has one cat (Mecko), one dog (Shep), a small beta fish (currently nameless)
and, give or take, approximately 400 Holstein milk cows.
